Serra del Montsec

Serra del Montsec is a mountain range south of the Pyrenees. It is known for birding. We stayed in a small town, Tremp (not Trump). We hired an UK expatriate birding guide for a day. We drove and hiked around looking for birds. We saw some common ones but the Spanish birds are very flighty. They don't tend to stand still on tree branches, unlike the birds in the Northwest.

We also went by ourself to a gorge. It was pretty spectacular. We saw many vultures riding the thermals.
